Homemade Cards-A Special Touch

A Homemade Card, like ones I make with my Cricut Machine, gives recipients a special feeling, they know I planned ahead for their special occasion and took the time and care to create a greeting card just for them. I have sent out many of the cards featured in this blog and I get wonderful thank you's back, expressing how nice it was to receive a beautiful and homemade card.

Time is Flying By!

In addition to working on greeting cards, I am also working on scrapbooks for my adult daughter and my granddaughter.  I am finding that time is flying by and I need to make the scrapbook pages a priority.  That is why I haven't been posting cards lately :)

Here are a few of the latest pages.

 St Patrick's Day

 Halloween and Fall Pics

Summer Fun...the name is written with mustard on bread :)

 The First Day of School

 Playing along the River

Paper Punches

I don't use paper punches very often but last week I decided to try a card using a paper punch.  It isn't as easy as it looks - getting the cutout pattern centered on the card front.  Aligning the background piece behind the front cover.

Finally I picked the colors and I think the finished card looks nice.  The cut out image is from a new Cricut Cartridge I just bought called Intricate Cut Quotes.

Reposting a Layout I made for Girl Scouting

A few years ago I made this layout for my daughter's Girl Scouting adventures.  This was a layout featuring a Girl Scout "bridging" ceremony from Brownies to the Junior level.

What is the Cricut Etching Tool?

I have been working very hard lately on my granddaughter's scrapbook and I'm almost caught up to her current age of 7....it's been a fun journey and many more photos and layouts will be shared.  Thank you for sticking with me during my "quiet time" for posting.

What is this...The Cricut Etching Tool...?
Here is something new I discovered on Amazon.com.  My question is this ~ Has anybody used or heard of how this is used?  I'd love to know.

Happy Valentine's Day card

It's the time of the year again....love is in the air as they say...
It's time to make those Happy Valentine's Day cards.
This year I have had some pretty card making ideas with the purchase of my newest Cricut Cartridge "Valentine's Day".

The choices in this cartridge are amazing...from simple & classic phrases to newer modern and at times, more casual phrases.

Because Mother's Day is just a week away my focus has been on creating a few cards that are fun.  Yesterday I posted one with the stereo-typical idea of moms wearing aprons...I still foget to put mine on when I cook.
Today's card will feature a Robin with her egg..stay tuned- I think this one will be fun.
