Easy to Make New Baby Card

With Spring approaching, thoughts turn to new things, new beginnings.  And of course, as with any season, new little ones being born.
This is a very easy homemade card to make using a Cricut Create Personal Cutter Machine.

Here is what you need:
Cricut Personal Cutter

Cartridge: Simply Charmed

Cartridge: Heritage (if you prefer an old fashioned type of baby carriage)

1 Piece of patterned 12"x12" scrapbooking cardstock.
2 Pieces of coordinating solid color 12"x12" scrapbooking cardstock.

Optional: A Coordinating Pen and Ribbon Embellishment.

Basic Settings:
Speed: Medium
Blade Depth: 2
Pressure: High

Cut 1 of the Printed Cardstock, 3 3/4" x 5"
Cut 2 of a Carriage (Simply: page 28, Heritage: page 38) One in Shadow and One Normal
Cut the Phrase from Simply Charmed, page 29, Real Dial Size, 1"
With a coordinating pen, little dots on the phrase and around carriage border.  From Simply Charmed, Cut 1 or 2 of Baby Bottle(s) and Pacifier(s), page 29
Use adhesive to affix cutouts to card body.  One the carriage pieces are put on, the carriage takes on a 3D affect.  A baby themed stamp on the carriage can be added.  Add a decorative ribbon and you are done.

Note: The paper, pen, and ribbon seen in this project were all purchased in a craft store in the scrapbooking section.  I hope to feature projects using specific brands at one point.
